Silicone Adhesives

- Sep 11, 2019-

Silicones were used to formulate adhesive products for decades because of their flexibility, temperature biking resistance, chemical resistance, and wide variety of viable material homes.

Silicone adhesives have the subsequent preferred traits:

Excessive flexibility (low modulus) at sub-ambient temperature

Steady performance over wide temperature range (a motive they work so properly with polyimide tapes)

Tremendous getting old and uv resistance (a motive they paintings so well in led programs)

High temperature resistance

Desirable resistance to polar solvents

Compared to acrylic and rubber adhesives, they're significantly more pricey, but because of their awesome high temperature overall performance they're thoroughly desirable to splicing tapes, overlaying tapes and polyimide (kapton) tapes.
