According to our hundreds of projects' approval experience in #cablefiretest, please find our recommendation of using our #cabletapes below for your easy choice.
(1) Regular Temperature (750C-850C for IEC): If using 2 layers of regular #micatape GP, using 1 layer of our Ceramic Mica Tape TFGPC is enough. If using 1 layer of regular mica tape GP, using 1 layer of our Ceramic Mica Tape TFGPC with less overlap is enough. Both solutions of our tapes would help cable producers cost down and increase flame resistance.
(2) High Temperature (850C-1000C for BS6387CWZ, Australia Standard, etc): If using 2 layers or more layers of regular mica tape GP, using 1 less layer of our #Ceramic Mica Tape TFGPC is enough. It will act with better flame resistance at less cost.
(3) Super High Temperature (>1000C for aerospace cable in the USA, etc): Using 1 layer of our Ceramic Mica Tape TFGPC inside & 1 layer of our Ceramic #Fiberglass Tape TFGC outside will be enough. Our Ceramic Fiberglass Tape will become a rigid cover tube when the temperature is more than 500C to protect the inside cores tightly.
